My last long training run

This morning I got up at 3 to get to the meeting place by 5:15.  Do not ask me why I am taking the time for blogging this morning!  This will be my last long training run before the race.  I will do 10 miles today and then taper for the next two weeks.  I am ready to taper.  I really don’t like getting up at 3 on a Saturday morning…. but I sure like being done with my milage before other people are even awake!

I’ve got to get ready now.  This is the route where my friend and I made up a song:  The Hells are Alive, with the sound of groaning – oooooh, eeeeeeeew, uuuuuuuuh, oooooh.  It is a tough course and I am tired to start.  But last week I was not optimistic either and had a great time.  So, I will just get to it.

You are my rock and my fortress; for your name’s sake lead me and guide me.  — Psalm 31:3

One foot in front of the other.
    Otherwise, you’ll trip and fall.

Have a good run and good day. 3 AM–really? Ugh.

Julie Andrews in the Hells Are Alive With The Sound of Groaning! I hope the run goes well.

    Well….it’s flat.

    • Lou, that was a photo from the week before – and actually was a flat top of a hill. Yesterday was so hilly, I never took my phone out to take a pic, I was too focused on just surviving the hills!

I loved catching up on your life today! Instead of trying to love this dog…….try letting the dog love you. Their natural instinct is to love humans who will allow it. Be open to his love, he will sense it.

    • He loves me. He follows me all over the house. It really is sweet. Except for the snot that seems to get everywhere. On my pants, on my shirts, on my legs. OH, and he loves to lick my right leg. But not my left. Weird 🙂
