I am a revert Roman Catholic woman, a cradle Catholic who left the church for many years in an unfortunate convergence of Vatican II and my rebellious years. The church allowed me back 20 years ago. I am recovering from alcoholism. I suffer from major depression.
I am a novice iconographer. Somedays I think that God has used my hands to create these windows to the Saints, and somedays I get puffed up and then quickly deflated. Those days probably teach me the most.
I am a runner and have finished 13 half marathons and 2 marathons (yes, that is 26.2 miles). If you saw me “running” down the street, you would probably say “What is that woman doing?” I usually explain: I cannot go fast, but I can go far.
I try to find joy in each day, and ways to show my gratitude, love, and devotion to God – the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
