Snow Day

IMG_7337Self-portrait on my back porch.  Confusing with inside chairs and the reflection of outside chairs, and the tablecloth looks like a skirt.  Oh well. I was out shoveling snow this morning and decided to walk to the back yard to plug in the lights on the deck, while I was out in all my winter gear including yak trax.

I have a wicked bad headache.  I got up to go to the meeting this morning and decided to go back to bed instead.  I am not going to Mass tonight because there is no way I am leaving the house today except to shovel snow.  I am very grateful for the snow, so that I don’t feel bad for staying home.  It is quite cozy.

Confronting my difficult person went better than I expected yesterday.  I am so grateful for my resolutions for peace and love in my life.  I might have just let it go and decided she is just a nasty person.  But instead I talked with her and she seems to understand what I was talking about and told me she would behave differently.  She made good on that promise all day yesterday.

I don’t feel well, I am going to lay down on the couch.  And wait for some really good football games to start.

Thanking God for a warm house, a fireplace, good food, warm blankets, and good neighbors.  I got to shovel for my next door neighbor today – she usually gets out long before I do and shovels my walk.  It was nice to have the opportunity to do something for her – for a change.

Sounds like a good day. Things do work out–not necessarily in my time. I work on being patient all the time.

I love the friendship you share with your neighbor. How nice it must be to have neighborly neighbors! I hope your headache goes away quickly so you can thoroughly enjoy the rest of your day.
