It’s February!

DSCN0959These very tulips are in the ground, thinking about popping up.  It’s still winter, I am not delusional, but I am so happy to consider that seasons march on, regardless of our moods or our life events.  Those tulips will be doing something within a month!

My daughter and I were talking yesterday and decided we can’t wait till their birthday to eat at the Ethiopian Restaurant (which is our custom).  She called her sister and made plans for us to have a night out tonight.  Yipeeeeee!  My favorite food with my favorite young women!  On a Friday night!  In February!

After our meal, I am sure we will walk up and down Sante Fe Dr., and look at the tattoo parlors and art galleries.

This is wonderful.

I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory.  Because your merciful love is better than life, my lips will praise you.  — Psalm 63:2-3

Sounds like a really nice day. I love having plans like that. I have already bought tulips from the grocery store here because I find them the cheeriest flowers at this time of year. It was -45C here earlier this week but today is supposed to be above freezing which is such a relief.

PS I took the comment validation thingy off my blog. I, too have found myself peering closely at a computer screen trying to figure out what those letters and numbers were.

Sounds like a good day planned. And it is Friday.

Ethiopian sounds SO good. Oh, yum.

It is after midnight here, so I can say — Happy Candlemas. I am going to be cantor at tonight’s Eucharist for Feast of the Presentation (first time ever canting, I am not a trained singer at all!) and I will especially think of you when I sing the prayers of the people. Now I just need to find a candle to have blessed. I had a lovely one but one of the cats broke it when she tried to climb straight up a plain vertical wall!

I am getting sober/abstinent from my addiction today. It’s time. I think I’m truly done. I’m turning it over. Onwards and upwards.

Love those tulips in anticipation. That Ethiopian restaurant sounds great — and good company too!
